Shenandoah Mountain Outfitters is committed to having our guest Live the Adventure of the Perfect Outing. It’s our primary mission to pass our family’s love for the finer art of bird hunting with quality trained dogs and picture perfect fly fishing trips on some of the most pristine mountain streams. We want our guest to have a memory making experience on their outing as we had growing up.
We are very proud to be 3rd and 4th generation bird hunters and fisherman. It started with Huggard “Buzz” Rodgers hunting wild grouse and quail with German Short Hair Pointers in the mountains of Virginia and entertaining many of his time. Next was Rodgers Huff, participating in professional field trails with nationally ranked English pointers. His love of fly fishing for trout on mountain stream was instilled into the both of us. Then, Stephen Rodgers has taught us how to spoil dogs.
Now, Stephen “Micah” Huff and Patrick Rodgers are carrying on these family traditions. We are raising and hunting the finest quality mountain bird dogs, Llewellin Setters and fishing the best spots. The past several years have been focused on retreat weekends for church youth and men’s groups. We are proud of our faith and commitment to family oriented outings.
